Chino Horde were an American band formed in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1990. They were an integral part of the DIY punk scene of the early 1990s. Chino Horde was influenced by fellow locals Trusty, the Bay Area's Monsula, New Jersey's Greyhouse, Michigan's Current, and D.C.'s Fugazi and Soulside. In the summer of 1993, they toured the U.S. with Current.
In 1991, drummer David Burns went to college in Knoxville, TN where he met Jason Morris and Justin Sinkovich and together they formed Thumbnail. He currently teaches architecture and digital design at th University of Technology, Sydney where he is Senior Lecturer. Steve Schmidt joined Thumbnail in 1995. David Burns founded File Thirteen Records in Little Rock, AR in 1989. Guitarist Jason White toured as replacement guitarist for Monsula in 1992, joined Pinhead Gunpowder in 1994, became second guitarist for Green Day in 1999, and currently plays guitar in The Big Cats with Burt Taggart, Colin Brooks and Josh Bentley.
